Have you ever wondered…
How can I meet all the demands of teaching and still make sure I am teaching my students to be good world citizens?
How can I encourage my students and raise their self-esteem when learning to read is on the line?
How can I teach my students to persevere when things get hard, and yet cover everything in my lesson plans?
If you’ve ever thought this, you are not alone. I have felt it too! After years of teaching first grade and feeling like I was on a hamster wheel, doing whatever I needed to do to get through the day, I realized I wasn’t happy with the education I was giving my students. I didn’t like the teacher I was because deep down I wanted to be more for them.
- I wanted learning to be fun for my students!
- I wanted us enjoy each other and learn from each other!
- I wanted to better prepare my students!
- I wanted to feed my students hearts and minds!
- I wanted my version of a grace-filled classroom!
So…. I changed. I refocused on what was important!
AND if I can do it, you can too!
That is why I started this blog! I want to encourage teachers who are passionate about teaching and love their students to find simple ways to fill their students' hearts and minds.

A little bit more about me…
I live in sunny, Southern California with my husband, two kids, and doggy, Mila. We live so close to Disneyland that we can watch the fireworks show every night from our couch! So, yes, I do love all things Disney.
I also love all things girly, nerdy, and glittery! AND anything school-related… Flair pens, post-its, labels! Books…I love books. I love to read…everything. I'm the girl who will read the back of the menu just because there is a story printed on it.
I love all the Harry Potter series, Hunger Games, and yes, even the Twilight series. I've been known to pick up my students after recess with a book in my nose and semi-leading the students back to class but not really knowing what's going on since I'm too busy reading. (Shhh…don't tell my principal.)
I'd love to hear from you! Leave a message below. Tell me about what you are passionate about when it comes to your classroom!
