This survey is designed to gauge your students' emotions and thoughts about starting school throughout the first week of school and beyond. Use the generic sheet all year long to check students' feelings or help with restorative practices.

Activity 3: Get to Know You Dice Game

A fun way for students to get to know their classmates! Students roll a die to answer corresponding questions, encouraging genuine sharing and fostering connections in a safe classroom environment.

Activity 4: About My “Cell”F

A spin on the traditional “all about me,” students will use a cell phone to share about themselves.

Activity 5: This or That Interviews

Another fun get-to-know-you activity! Students get to know their classmates by interviewing each other with would you rather questions.

Activity 6: Goal Setting

Setting goals at the beginning of the school year helps instill a sense of purpose and motivation. Teachers also gain insight into their individual strengths, interests, and areas for improvement. This information allows for personalized instruction and support.

Activity 7: Let's Taco ‘Bout 2nd/3rd Grade

Students create a fun taco-shaped booklet to recap their first day of 2nd/3rd grade.

Activity 12: Letter to My Teacher

In this heartwarming lesson, students are encouraged to write a special letter to their teacher at the beginning of the school year.
